Jann Dahle aka Fjordfunk aka @kango is a somewhat unsung hero of the Norwegian Disco scene. He began making music in Tromsø in the 90s alongside Rune Linbæk and Bjørn Torske, a critical point for a burgeoning scene that has since taken over the globe. And then, after a meteoric rise in Berlin in the mid-00s, he vanished. Earlier this year, he presented his first recorded work in 11 years - his album Infinite Zest. We are blessed to share a studio mix of his new and unreleased music.
To close, we hear from @davidepirasmusic, a DJ, producer, and live performer from Northern Italy. 2019 has been a hectic time for Davide, with releases on @subwax-bcn, @blindallies, and @carpetandsnares. His latest effort is the shapeshifiting Beyond Our Reach EP on @jayclarke-official's @blackaxon, which we celebrate with an expansive mix.
