The Hub meets up with Reggae & Dancehall singer & Rapper Lacy Redhead!

Lacy Redhead is a reggae and dance hall singer-songwriter, writing her first song at the age of 8, performing it in the living room for her family. Even as a young child, Lacy was listening to the greats, like Marvin Gaye, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Aretha Franklin. As she grew older, Lacy became more determined than ever to find her way in the music industry. In 2013, Lacy attended an event called "Reggae On The River" where she caught her first break. Lacy was invited on stage and with her powerful voice and soul, she captivated the hearts of over 3000 people. Amongst them were Jubal Sherman, owner of the SHC record label, and producers Galen Davis and Justin Miller. With an album opportunity on the table, Lacy released her first record with SHC, titled "Soul Cherry." The quality of her debut album led to Lacy landing on the roster for "Reggae On The River 2014," and opening up for Tarrus Riley. Lacy is driven towards the future, always writing and doing what she can to forward her career and her spirituality. Motherhood and the pure joy of music are what drive her, wanting to bring positive vibes, laughter, and good times by sharing her story with the world.
