The first message in a short series on parables (Stories Jesus Told). We look at Luke 12:54 – 13:9 “Time to Repent”. The headline news can be quite confronting. This time of year my news app seems to be filled with all sorts of natural disasters, along with the devastation inflicted by humanity on one another (see Luke 13:1-5). How do you and I respond to it all? The Lord Jesus wants us to recognise the times we live in and respond by turning from ourselves and our sin toward God. Gospel-grounded repentance is for life, as we discover the sweetness of the gospel more and more. This hope changes everything.
