Ah. Um. So. One coach said "don't worry about what harmonies you're making until they're happening," and another said "bring one of your pieces—or something you're working on—to the workshop."
So I tried to be "good enough," complex and interesting enough to over-compensate for the ostinato nature of this kind of music.
So I made sonorities that worked well enough. They're roughly represented in the chart, attached. But I just could. Not. Solo. On that stuff.
So I tried something that a third person has been urging me to do for months: no solo. I even unplugged the mic. I just used the loops I made to create a sound-experience.
...it... lacks. Something.
Maybe you can bust out your keyboard or guitar or muted trumpet and lay something on it. I invite that. But for me... my improvisory harmonic skills aint there yet.
