Description

Molly Sonsteng was the director of admissions at the Manhattan School of Music and had just completed a Master's at Columbia Teacher's College with her eye on rising through the ranks in higher ed. Then, one day, with no back-up plan, she just quit. After taking some time, brainstorming, researching, and exploring, she ended up co-founding Madcap Factory, an "amusingly eccentric production house." A few years later, she started Caveday, facilitated work sessions that happen in a group to enhance focus.

PhD candidate Pallas Catanella interviews Molly and asks about her journey from academia into something completely different. What skills did she need to learn, and what skills were transferable from her previous career? Let's get curious.
