Atsui Mizu is our heartfelt exploration of Amapiano—a genre born in South Africa’s townships that blends deep house, jazz, and lounge into something gentle, groovy, and emotionally rich. With rolling shaker rhythms, warm pads, and deep basslines around 112 BPM, Amapiano creates a sonic atmosphere that invites both reflection and movement.
In this track, we embraced that signature sound, layering in melodic sensibilities rooted in Japanese music and our long-standing admiration for Taiwanese culture. The shimmering keys and fluid grooves form the backdrop for a story about vulnerability, craftsmanship, and persistence in the face of fading dreams.
The music video was filmed with the generous support of Tie ONE Beer House, a cozy spot near Kannai Station in Kanagawa that shares our love for Taiwan—both in spirit and in its menu. Our member Prestige Kato’s connection with the venue reflects the same values we bring to our music: sincerity, connection, and cross-cultural respect.
Lyrically, the song nods to the artistry behind Taiwanese whisky—an emblem of quiet resilience and deep time. Through it, we express not only admiration, but also the tension between aspiration and limitation.
