Jaye Valentine was destined to have a life in music, as her mother plays piano, her father sings, and all of her relatives are members of musical ministries. This Texas beauty began piano lessons at 8 years old, sang with her church choir, and listened to blues, gospel, country and R&B growing up. Jaye had her first acting role before she was in kindergarten, but her family didn’t take her seriously as a singer. One day she surprised her father by singing at home. He was so impressed, that he spent all night helping her with pitch, harmonies, and proper breathing technique.
