In November 2024, shortly after the U.S. presidential election, the two of us went to Chicago's Narwhal Studios to record spontaneous music with our longtime friend and recording engineer, Brian Deck. Over two days—November 15 and 16—we captured our immediate reactions to this event through spontaneous, improvised musical conversations. Unlike the lifeless and soulless "copy-and-paste" music and AI-generated slop that are so prevalent, these recordings of The Narwhal Sessions, are a reminder of our shared and human experience, including all of its associated imperfections and inconsistencies.
