This Extended Play is the final Extended Play release of The Narwhal Sessions, November 15-16, 2024 - Part 6: Empathy. Shortly after the U.S. presidential election, pianist/composer Kurt Stallmann and saxophonist Steve Duke went to Chicago's Narwhal Studios to record spontaneous music with their longtime friend and recording engineer, Brian Deck. They captured their immediate reactions to current events through two days of free improvisations. These live recordings are a reminder of our shared human experience.
