2017 NMG award winner Jake Aldridge has announced the release of a new single, ‘The Underdog’, available via all digital channels.
The new song is set to feature on Jake’s upcoming album, which is titled ‘Inside Pocket’. For this eerie & thought provoking Hip Hop track, Aldridge teams up with Music Producer Ninety II and the track also features J.J Leone, a talented vocalist who has opened up shows for the likes of Rag N Bone Man & Craig David.
“I’ve always been a supporter of the underdog. Even when I was a kid, I’d always cheer on the team or player who was less likely to win. I think the harder we have to work for something, the more we tend to appreciate it.”. Aldridge said.
The Urban Pop Artist was presented with the Audience Choice Award in September at the Corn Exchange, Cambridge, after receiving more votes than 109 other musicians from East Anglia.
To date, Aldridge’s music has been featured on UK and US Television and has also been heavily supported via BBC Introducing, even being aired by Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6.
Aldridge is now teaming up with Andy Whitmore, A Music Producer who has 14 UK top ten hits under his belt having worked with the likes of Elton John, Lemar, and Soul II Soul.
