Buddhism emerged from the diverse philosophies of the ancient Indian kingdom of Magadha. Ian travels to its most sacred site - the tree under which the Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment - to expore its contradictory and sometimes paradoxical attitude to vegetarianism.
