O itinerário inicia-se no emblemático Galeto – símbolo da modernidade dos anos 60 e 70 – e termina na cumplicidade do Jardim Amália Rodrigues, obra do arquitecto Ribeiro Telles, expoente de contemplação e sossego. Uma rota do Saldanha ao Parque Eduardo VII, passando pela Avenida da República, Duque d’Ávila, Gulbenkian, Rua Marquês da Fronteira, Bairro Azul e Lago do Roseiral. A jornalista Paula Moura Pinheiro lembra-nos o início do século XX e a importância do arquitecto Norte Júnior, com GPS apontado para o lustro burguês. Um percurso feito de memórias individuais e colectivas para um re-encontro com as renovadas Avenidas Novas onde lojas como histórias – que nascem nas roupas da loja familiar Casa Xangai, na Pastelaria Versailles, ponto de passagem obrigatório da vida cultural a partir de 1922 e na Pérola do Chaimite – têm morada e lhes dão alma.
