I've just finished watching all 4 seasons of the 'Black Sails' T.V. show from Starz. They cleverly mix historical pirates and other characters with figures from Robert Louis Stevenson's 'Treasure Island'. I highly recommend it for fans of pirate action.
I felt inspired to try and create a pirate inspired track, using Apple Loops!
This track I've dedicated to the portrayal of pirate Anne Bonney played magnificently by Clara Paget. Bonney was in fact Irish (her character in Black Sails does sound English). I've used a mix of Irish and Scottish instruments to try and create an appropriate pirate sound.
