I was looking through Clive Hawkins' back catalogue for a piece I could collaborate on, and I came across a real gem in 'as the sun went down' from a year ago. It's a soundtrack piece. Clive's original is composed in 5 parts, and is really very beautiful:

It gave me an idea...
I did what comes naturally and added rock guitar with echo and reverb, plus smart drums from GarageBand, and a few choice sounds from iMPC Pro together with some track pan for effect.
In my version of Clive's track, which is more Prog Rock than soundtrack, I've tried to respect Clive's original composition as I build up the track to its grand finale.
The final mix was done in GarageBand on my iPad.
