I was thinking about solar eclipses and imagining what days of total darkness would be like (at this point I say hello to anyone living near one of the poles, as they get months of darkness in Winter!).
Then I remembered the series of plagues inflicted on Egypt as described in Exodus, with the ninth plague being Darkness (being in direct opposition to the Egyptian Sun God Ra).
It's described as " a darkness that can be felt"...which is the feeling I was after with this track.
