I wrote this song as a poem probably 30 years ago. To a degree (as best we can), we live the life we choose for ourselves, moment by moment.
Silver Screen
Frame by frame {frame by frame} you live your life,
A finite {finite} spool of film.
Capture there your joys {your joys}, your strife,
Each single sumptuous still.
Select your cast, as best one can,
And choose {choose} your favourite sets.
Then act, direct, zoom and pan,
Enjoy it all {enjoy}, this silver screen.

2016 was such a year of fallen heroes, but when mother and daughter Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher died within days of each other I decided to dedicate this track to their memory and their legacy.
