In creating this track I laid down four manually played synth tracks for the various "monstrous" effects, and kind of sat on that for a few days. I liked it, but what was it? I didn't know.
Then I noticed some "secret agent" guitar loops in Logic Pro X and combined that with some monster metal guitar and other "out there" guitar sounds and that was that. Not for everyone I'm quite sure...but it suits the subject nicely, and it made me happy creating it.
I'm a Charles Stross fan, and have signed copies of books in the series.
