I recently watched a couple of fascinating short documentaries - from Quantum Gravity Research - on the nature of reality:
"What Is Reality?"

"Hacking Reality"

Ontology is the philosophical study of reality. In physics, the first two ontologies on the fundamental nature of reality are Newton's deterministic "clockwork universe" (modified by Einstein) and the crazy non-deterministic randomness of Quantum Mechanics. Both are still very useful in describing aspects of reality, yet they contradict each other - is nature deterministic or non-deterministic?
To resolve what could be a false dichotomy, the Quantum Gravity Research team of physicists have gone back to basics and propose a third ontology on the nature of reality:
"A Theory of Pixelated Spacetime and of Reality as a Quasicrystalline Point Space Projected From the E8 Crystal."
I'll leave it there, but recommend both films directed by David Jacubovic and starring actress Marion Kerr (pictured). Start with "What Is Reality?"
I have no association with any of the above people or organisations. This is purely a fan-based, free piece of music inspired by them.
