Episode #54: David Schwartz explains Ripple
On today’s show I speak with David Schwartz, the Chief Cryptographer at Ripple Labs and one of the architects of the Ripple protocol. David was developing encrypted cloud storage and messaging systems for organizations like CNN and the NSA when he discovered Bitcoin in 2011 and soon became active in the Bitcoin community as "JoelKatz". In late 2011, he was hired by Jed McCaleb to design and implement what is now the Ripple network. David gives us a fantastic explanation of what Ripple really is and for the first time, I feel like I might actually understand Ripple and where it fits in here at the Dawn of the Age of Cryptocurrencies!
