We sit down with Hooligan of Prescott, Arizona based depressive suicidal black metal (DSBM) project Depressive. We discuss his new album Cruelty of Darkness, his progression as an artist and our collective love of DSBM. We talk about our initial exposure to black metal, our journey down the rabbit hole and how black metal allows artists and listeners to process personal trauma. We also discuss the Arizona metal scene, chili spice levels, medical marijuana, the Grand Canyon and the massive personalities of chihuahuas.
