What does a side job of an artist have to do with his/her artistic practice and how much influence does this have on the artist and the artistic practice? Do they exist in two separate worlds or do they have more in common than expected? Starting from a literary text written by Batsheva Ross we try to explore what is the common sense of the side job, something many artists are dealing with. How do we differentiate these two worlds and what is overlapping between them? Going from selling products to health and spirituality – where does the side job end, where does the artistic practice start?
Interviewed by Olaf Winkler and Bas van den Hout.
