An intriguing question to start: Is there a difference between a filmmaker and an artist who works with film? Chloé Malcotti, considering herself as the latter, is just about to finish a work about an industrial site on the Italian coast. We talk with her about color, capitalism, a beach which is beautiful but dead, and, yes, about what it means to work with film.
