Radek Szlaga is a tirelessly driven worker who seems to be more in his studio than he is at home. Covered with paint, the studio itself appears as one big painting; you enter the universe of an artist who seems to sweat paint. Even he himself is covered the way the studio is. Guided often by loud music on the background he paints like the world is about to end.
Interviewed by Bas van den Hout and Batsheva Ross.
This talk is part of a series with interviews – Level Five artists being interviewed by Level Five artists – as well as other sound pieces. The series was started also as a kind of prologue to our Open Studios which were originally scheduled for Nov 2020. Due to the current situation, the physical Open Studios have been postponed. More info to come.
