Isaiah 55:12 in The Message translation of Scripture says “So you’ll go out in joy, you’ll be led into a whole and complete life.” After the joy (and yes, the stress!) of Christmas how do we hold onto joy and laughter in our lives in order to experience God’s vision for life? We’re going to find some joy and laughter on Sunday because this is how we can maintain hope in light of the darkness that may be in our personal lives and the world. In choosing joy, we can focus our eyes on hope.
From "Cat in the Hat" sharing these words:
Look at me!
Look at me!
Look at me NOW!
It is fun to have fun
But you have to know how.
To Virginia Woolf observing “My mind works in idleness. To do nothing is often my most profitable way.”
There is wisdom in seeking humor, laughter, and play intentionally to thrive in all of life’s circumstances. You’re invited to wear your ‘ugly sweater’ or your holiday hat, or bring an item or story that makes you smile and share it with the rest of us!
