Worship Series Prophecies and Pottery
This Independence Day weekend, we are beginning a new series called “Prophecies and Pottery,” based on the prophet Jeremiah. Prophets are called to speak out in God’s name when a nation’s values veer off course, because a nation’s choices have large consequences.
And, since it is Independence Day, today we’ll also harken back to a sermon given by the only preacher to sign the Declaration of Independence, Rev. John Witherspoon.
As we look back, you may well find some prophecy for our time and our lives.
