Worship Series: What is Sacred?
There's a children's rhyme that goes, "here is the church, here is the steeple, open the doors, and see all the people!"
Last week, we looked at sacred places, including our very own church building, and the potential it has to be a blessing in the community.
This week, we move from sacred places to sacred people. We'll remind ourselves that we, too, are sacred, and we'll see the potential and the possibilities that come from recognizing and trusting in our own sacred identity and calling.
Throughout history, what is "sacred" has often been defined by others... but how does God define us as a sacred people? And how might we see ourselves as sacred amidst the difficult and challenging moments of our lives?
