Description

In this episode, Dan talks about three memoirs, but focuses mostly on Gift from the Sea, by Ann Morrow Lindbergh. The first woman to earn a first-class glider pilot's license.

After tragically losing a child, she was the first woman ever to win the National Geographic Society's, Hubbard Medal; author of numerous bestsellers. She skied well into her sixties; hiked down into the Haleakala Crater on Maui at seventy-five, and lived a full life until her death at ninety-four years old.
