چی می مونه؟ کی می مونه؟ عینکی کج، نگاهی علیل
زیر ضربات پودر می شه این دختر، کارش زارِ زاره
if the armors I’ve tempered start melting down, layer by layer
if the fences I’ve built come crumbling down, brick by brick
what would be, left? who would be left?
a pair of crooked glasses, and an ill glance
this girl would turn to dust under the strikes
اگه راش بدم تو اتاقی که عایق کردم واره واره
اگه باز کنم جعبه هایی که قفل کردم چند باره باره
کی می دونه؟ چی می خونه مرعوب دل در دنج خونه
تو هیاهو خفه می شه زمزمه هاش یاره یاره
if I let him in the room I’ve insulated from wall to wall
if I open the boxes I’ve locked more than several times
who’d know what the petrified heart is singing up in the corner
her hums will get drowned in the ruckus

یادم آز مزه چایی عسل
یادم ار اتل، یادم آر متل
مترسک بی خطر
remind me of couplets, sonnets sand ghazals
remind me the flavor of honey tea asal
remind me of atal, remind me of matal
and the scarecrow that’s not scary at all

می خوام باور کنم این مثل
I’m as close as I can get to believing this fairy tale
می دانم دیگه نیست خدایی روی گل
یا نه دستی که بنازه از خاک شور دل
I know there are no gods on this earth no more
there are no hands that could create heartbeat from dirt and all

خاک و ماهور رو

کوهستانها یابند خاتم
شیرینها مال خسروهایند
I am farhad, I know soil and rock by heart
