Kaap is no traditional record digger. He would rather play music that grows on you every time you hear it than to spin a hasty obscure record that you will forget the next day. And he’s way too impatient to spend an entire day in a record store anyway.
From a house set at a beach club, to an electro act in a dark bunker or an ambient live performance in the basement of a coffee café in Berlin - you can find this artist play in various settings because of his eclectic style. This diversity shines through in his sets, productions and label imprints, where he lets different styles merge together, with deepness and warmth as the binding factors.
All of Kaap his productions are mainly made outside of the digital realm. His fully equipped studio in Amsterdam fuels his inspiration as the limitations imposed by the machinery force him to push his own creative limits to generate his characteristic analog sound which captures the moment.
