Garpo:
Árpád Gergácz aka Garpo, born in 1979 in Göd, Hungary, is one of the most significant characters of the dub techno scene in Hungary.
He began playing drums in his teenage years. His first encounters with electronic music were in the mid 90s, bought his first vinyl in 1998, started mixing and in 2003 he already had his own radio show on the most respected Hungarian underground music station called Tilos Radio.
His musical taste drove him towards dub techno and techno and stayed with 4/4 beats all along his carrier. In addition to his frequent appearences in the club scene of Budapest, he is also an active organiser of open-air underground parties.
Garpo currently continues to express his dedication and passion to techno music in Budapest. You can find him playing in radio stations as well as parties in different clubs throughout the country.
