Nickolay Karlov:
Aka Kolya Karl. DJ since 2007. According to Nikolai: “It all started from the moment when, in 1999, The Chemical Brothers’ cassette with the album “Surrender” fell into my hands. I began to be interested in electronic music, the whole culture in general, and that’s when I was hooked. I then I realized that I would definitely play electronic music."
He is the creator and ideological inspirer of the first Siberian underground electronic music podcast ECHO MIRA, for which DJs not only from Russia recorded their mixes.
Co-organizer of The HIVE parties, where such DJs played: Henning Baer, Vakula, Nikita Zabelin, Ishome. From the very beginning of his career to this day, he has given preference to techno music, a deep dub vibe with deep and progressive techno, adding special shades to his sets. It also does not leave aside classic techno in symbiosis with tribal and hypnotic sound, which is definitely worth the attention of a sophisticated listener.
