Biography:
LUME, formerly known as Arousal, creates a sonic journey that invites listeners into a transformative and diverse soundscape. With roots in Germany and now flourishing in the electronic music scenes of Innsbruck and Munich, he is an integral member of the “FACETS“ collective from Augsburg and the event series “SURGE“ in Munich. He also launched his own event series “PUBLIC ECSTASY“ in Innsbruck in 2023, showcasing his musical vision. Electronic music has always treated space as an essential element along with rhythm and melody. In recent years, LUME's sonic vision has taken this exploration further, creating hypnotic music that immerses the listener in the spatial dimensions of sound.
Inspired by a deep love for the music of the 90s, he has embarked on a musical journey that fuses various genres into a cohesive soundscape. His music represents layered techno infused with Breakbeat, IDM-inspired sounds, Ambiente and Electro, while trying to capture the innovative essence of 90s electronic music. The German artist's ever-evolving sonic signature shifts genres and perspectives, always celebrating the rich diversity of electronic music to create a dynamic listening experience.
For this podcast, LUME explores his deep love for the slower side of electronic music, choosing one of his favourite dub-techno classics and atmospheric tracks to create a journey between ambience and calming rhythm.
