This is the 72nd Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. The monthly released session brings you the best and the most diversity Ambient music can offer. This month Ujjaya makes his debut with a Ethno - Ambient set that defines his unique sound combined with live instruments.
About:
Ujjaya is a french poly-instrumentalist with malagasy roots.
His first instrument is the guitar.In the early 90ʻs he first create the prog-metal band Ujjaya, a sextet, but heavily influenced by Steve Roach , Robert Rich , Jorge Reyes and jon Hassell he turned later fully to the ethno-ambient genre at the end of the 90ʼs.
He completely disappeared from the music scene, given his priority to his spiritual seeking. He reappeared on the early 2011 with the acclaimed «The Master of Crossroads». Heʼs famous then in Paris for organizing some sleep and nap concerts, and for the paris ambient Festival.Heʼs focusing in sacred places (pagoda, crypt, church, hindu temple he even made a sleep concert in London in a trurkish
mosque, the dome). Live he play dozen of world instrument but mostly veena and gamelan , but never put them on record yet he rarely give the same show twice.
