Quando Claudio mi ha chiesto di scrivere un'introduzione per il suo "Ambient Mix 2" la mia prima reazione è stata quella di farlo desistere da questa sua intenzione. Ho cercato di fargli capire che in fondo non ero la persona adatta a scrivere commenti su di un set da studio.
Però, alla fine, spiegandomi di cosa si trattava e quindi coinvolgendomi su un tema del quale abbiamo avuto modo di confrontarci, ho detto si.
La grande intuizione di Claudio è quella di scegliere lo spazio come luogo dove mettere in scena il suo viaggio: quale luogo migliore dell'infinito per gustarci la sua selezione musicale ispirata all'universo: quarantuno minuti di dischi in vinile originali, cerniti con saggia attenzione per ricordarci quanto spesso si è inseriti in una società senza radici, dove gli individui accettano passivamente il cambiamento per il semplice fatto che è tutto quello che conoscono.
Conoscere e amare quelle che sono le proprie origini, fino a smarrirsi in un'esplorazione impossibile per poi recuperare tutto: forse bisogna perdersi per ritrovarsi, ritrovarsi per perdersi.
Da qui nasce "Ambient Mix 2" di Claudio Fabrianesi: un podcast di cui vado davvero felice, e condividerlo con voi attraverso "Deep Consequences" è il regalo più bello che potessi farmi.

When claudio asked me to write the introduction for his "Ambient Mix 2", my first reaction was trying to talk him out of it. I tried to get him to realize that, I, in fact wasn't the right person to comment on a studio set.
But in the end, after he had explained to me what it was about and had had me taken in by the topic we talked about with a lot of passion, I said yes.
Claudio had a great intuition to make the space the place for his odyssey. And there's nowhere better than infinity to enjoy his musical selection: 41 minutes of original vinyl records, wisely chosen with the aim to make us remember just how much we are immersed in the society with no roots, where people passively accept the change for the mere reason it is the only thing they perceive.
Knowing and loving our very own origins, to the point of losing it in an impossible exploration then to get it all back; maybe it takes getting lost only to find your way, finding your way only to get lost.
It is how "Ambient Mix 2" was born, a podcast that had made me very happy, and being able to share it with you through "Deep Consequences" is the greatest gift for me.

Claudio Fabrianesi is a polyhedric DJ, his talent is hard to be captured and cannot be framed in a single definition.
His productions are the reflection of a strong artistic sensibility, a wide-ranging musical education, a long years experience and a vision of music that embraces sounds and rhythms from different cultures and eras.
