Emerging from the enchanting region of La Alcarria, Spain, emesh is the visionary musical project of Antonio Muñoz. With a remarkable ability to seamlessly blend electronic, ambient, slow trance, IDM, and dub genres, emesh crafts immersive sonic landscapes that deeply resonate with the soul. Since 2013, his collaboration with Sendero Records has transformed the auditory experience, presenting a rich and diverse palette of sound that both moves and soothes listeners alike.
Antonio’s musical journey began in the vibrant 1980s as a resident DJ at the iconic Deadly club in Brihuega. His undeniable talent quickly led him to Madrid’s most prestigious venues, including the Círculo de Bellas Artes and Mondo, where he performed under the moniker Dujay. In the early 2000s, Antonio became a pioneer of the deep trance and progressive house scenes by founding the underground Darkbeat parties, which forever altered the local music landscape.
However, emesh is much more than a music producer. Antonio is also a gifted sound healer who beautifully bridges ancient wisdom with contemporary beats. His mastery of Tibetan singing bowls and shamanic drums brings a profound spiritual depth to his compositions, enriching every listening experience. This dedication is evident in his diverse body of work, from opening for the legendary James Holden in 2003 to performing intricate sound healing concerts at Alcoy University.
Antonio’s global reputation soared at the London Music Conference in 2020, where he captivated audiences at the renowned fabric nightclub. Today, operating out of his Elul studio, emesh continues to innovate with groundbreaking releases and dynamic collaborations. Recent projects include an indie electronic EP with Miss Zagato and contributions to esteemed labels such as Initiate Rec., Piranha Siberia Dub, Blue Lotus, Velvet Dub Collective, Dublucid, Linee Sonore, Systolic, and Something Special, highlighting his prolific creativity.
