parhelic shell is a French duo exploring sounds though field recording, synthesizers and precise process to create their own signature. Their involvement in the britanny's based NVNA crew allow them to express theirself across singular events and music releases.
Here is a small description about the way we used to work :
This four-handed made live set emanates from two computers. The first one delivers the live set’s main structure, resulting from rhythm oriented explorations.. Many sounds come from field recording or synthesizers. The second computer receive this signal and, thanks to several effects chains, a new sonic layer emerges. The resulting sounds follow the main structure’s movement and cover it with new textures to create a living ensemble. This coexistence defines our way to propose Ambient, Bass and Techno inspired live, with a rhythmic and swarming outcome, sometimes dark, never barren.
This set has been live recorded during last summer's french Visions festival @ Plougonvelin.
