Bio:
My journey began 2008/2009, once upon a time was taught the art of mixing by a friend of mine via a well known software called Virtual Dj, after those few learning sessions it was me, my laptop and Virtual DJ 24/7, I kept practicing and recording mixes then started getting my first few gigs around my neighborhood. Along my journey I met new people who introduced me to the art of mixing via CDJs, I enjoyed it and that’s when my love for underground music grew. As I ventured into the underground scene, I got influenced by the likes of Doyeq, Zzzra, Kat la Kat, DJ Buda, Audud, Alessandro Crim, Ohwert, Fouk, Julian Gomes the list is endless and I decided it was the right time to start my own storytelling session (podcast) called “Rooted Blend” where I showcase my musically taste and skill. I reached out to the right people and got more bookings, djing at places like Welcomes Place Tsakane, Hawaii Voslorus, The Palace and Eatery Heidelberg and Kasie FM just to mention a few of my peak achievements. Behind the decks, my style of DJing is not only to make you dance but more of storytelling. I enjoy combing different textures to my mixes and live sets. Besides DJing I am also a audio producer, I play some of the music I produces on “Rooted Blend” or at my gigs. Most of the stuff I have been producing is Ambient and Dub Techno but I do produce Hip-Hop there and there.
