Our Label is picking up the pace in 2012 and starts the new year with a quick follow-up to their last 7“ by Sir Ali Bengali from Switzerland (released in November 2011), with the release of „Raw Meat / Song 2“ by Diazpora from Hamburg, Germany. In late 2011 Our Label’s Gu sat down with the band for a studio session and presented them with the main elements of what would become „Raw Meat“, a very deep and almost jazzy midtempo groove that will keep heads nodding and feet moving all over the globe. Stripped down to a three-piece band with bass, drums and guitar, Diazpora (usually an eight-piece) show how they can handle the Funk in it’s most basic form.
It is only the second time that Gu wrote and produced a release on Our Label, but again the outcome is a dancefloor sureshot that will be a DJ’s favourite once the needle hits the vinyl, as was with the quickly sold out „Give Me A Minute“ by The New Mastersounds (OUR45-001).
