Whether a caregiving role evolves over time due to increased needs or is the result of a sudden life event, all caregivers go through an identity development process. Listen in as CEO Trent Cockerham and Dr. Elise Eifert, Assistant Professor and Graduate Coordinator for the Gerontology program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, discuss how the caregiver identity is solidified through both internal and external reinforcement and how awareness of this identity can result in better connections with and utilization of available resources.
