In their ‘Spaces’ series, Aron and Rodi travel to a variety of locations to perform their unique take on improvised music.
Aron is often building a melodic motif on the piano by bouncing off the unpredictable timbre, tone, texture and noise Rodi is creating through sampling, granular synthesis and live studio mixing techniques.
Some of the additional elements utilized are west african percussion, melodica, and a series of live feedback loops run through filters. They also heavily rely on the natural acoustics of the space and dynamics through using varied microphone placement.
