Description

Jeff Kline is running 2700 miles in 8 weeks for a cause. The run has been organized to help raise awareness about prostate cancer, and the importance of early detection to saving lives.

We talked about many things relating to Jeff's run, prostate cancer, and training techniques for endurance training. Here are a few of the highlights:

Early detection of prostate cancer has a 100% survival rate.
Screening doesn't mean having a digital exam--it's a simple blood test.
There are many races to raise money for prostate cancer research--you just have to look for them!
Signs and symptoms of prostate problems.
Effort based training vs. heart rate training.
Jeff has a great mission over the course of this run that he is tackling. His goal is to get 2700 men to commit to get screened for prostate cancer and is hoping to raise $30,000 as well.
