08.47 / February 11, 2017 / Friedhof, Hainkirche St. Vinzenz / 51°23’‘2.286’‘N, 12°16’0.687’‘E / When I was child I visited this graveyard with my mother to take care of the grave of her mother / Now my mother is buried in the same graveyard / I don’t come here very often, usually only twice a year, on my mother’s birthday and on the day of her death / Some other relatives of mine also rest in this graveyard: the parents of my grandmother and her brother / I really do not come here often, but if I were to name a place that means 'Heimat' to me, it would be this graveyard / It’s difficult to translate the German term 'Heimat' – it is the place you come from and would call “home”, and also the feelings and memories you carry within you when you think about this place / When I was there this morning, it snowed //
