Welcome to another Hoopsville Preseason Podcast. In this installment, Dave McHugh chats with Nancy Fahey who was responsible for one of the bigger news items in the offseason. Fahey decided to leave WashU after 31 years, 21 UAA championships, and 5 National Championships. Fahey explains why she made the decision and how challenging it was to walk away from WashU.

McHugh also talked to the person taking over for Fahey at WashU: Randi Henderson who returns to Division III after two years in Division I. Henderson, the former head coach at Coe, was the selection from a very competitive group of coaches vying for the Bears job. Henderson discusses why this job was on a short list of ones she would be willing to go for and her reaction when she got the call.

We didn't just talk about WashU and women's basketball. McHugh was able to corral Mark Scherer who is back in the CCIW after a four year absence. Scherer talks about what he has done since he left Elmhurst and what intrigued him about jumping back in with the Big Blue.
