Description

On the latest Art Talks, a look into Utah women in architecture. This industry impacts our everyday experiences, yet very few women are in the field. Host Richard Codd wondered why this was the case, and spoke with Celestia Carson (VCBO and Women in Architecture Salt Lake City), Heather Wilson (Executive Director, American Institute of Architects, Utah Chapter), and Courtney Kizer (Architectural Squared) to find out. As Codd reflects, “if the industry continues to explicitly or implicitly discriminate against women and people of color in its hiring practices, the profession will surely suffer from a lack of knowledge, creativity, and personal experience.” Tune in for some important conversations about the architecture profession.
