Cast and crew with the epic western, Horizon: An American Saga, are gearing up to shoot in Grand County. On the latest This Week in Moab, we speak with Moab to Monument Valley Film Commissioner Bega Metzner about the project. Co-written and directed by Kevin Costner, the film will depict the settlement of the American West pre and post Civil War. Tune in and learn more about the project and how to get involved.

//Extras, Speaking Roles, and Horseback Riders! On Friday July 29th & Saturday July 30th, the film project ‘Horizon’ is casting for men, women and children of all ages. No preparation necessary for Extras and Speaking Roles, as photos will be taken on site. Horseback riders must bring a video of their riding skills that can be viewed on a phone. The open call is Friday July 29th and Saturday July 30th from 11AM – 4PM at Star Hall. //Moab Local Crew! The film project ‘Horizon’ is currently in pre-production in Moab with anticipated shooting dates between late-August through early November. They are currently looking for potential Moab local crew members in the production, art, location, security and costume departments.
