Welcome back to Ruck Up Buttercup, I can hardly believe that we are already on episode 13 with you all. It has been really fun being able to bring you so much amazing information from great resources within our military community. Our topic for July is something probably on all your minds this time of year, VACATIONS and STAYCATIONS. Who doesn’t love a good summer get away!!
On this Episode of Ruck Up Buttercup we have Cheryl Bare the host for Good Morning Mimosas which is a podcast which is your little spark of joy every Wednesday morning. Cheryl Bare is a passionate entrepreneur, volunteer, and wife who wants to create opportunities for other military spouses and women. She has 10 years of work experience in various sectors including small business, local government, finance, and nonprofits. Her hobbies include event planning, hiking, travel, meeting new people, and snuggling with her pooch. Cheryl has an eight-year-old black lab/flat-coated retriever mix named Huck who is perfect in every way. She also has a handi-cat named Cat that she rescued in Philly. She and her husband adopted Cat as a tiny kitten in the summer of 2018. She was born with four legs but only three feet.
We all really enjoyed our conversation filled with great tips from getting insurance, and being flexible to prioritizing relaxation especially if your only vacation time includes visiting family. We have included some really great stories about staycations we have gone on as well as a HUGE list of amazing resources to help you find ways to save money on your next trip.
