Episode 10 K’Lee Reynolds Homefront Heroes Ministry
June at Deployed Love and here at Ruck Up Buttercup is all about Mental Health and Self-Care we know how easy it is to give and give and not take the time for yourself. So we will be bringing you some great resources to help you add a little self-care to your life this summer. It is also the month where we bring awareness to PTSD.
Today we had a special guest with us to talk about PTSD and how it can affect you as a spouse.
We have K’lee Reynolds I am a military wife of almost 11 years. My husband and I have been together almost 13 years. I love being a military wife and helping other military wives throughout their journey. I am saved by the Grace of God, and I love coming alongside others in their faith journey. I am a momma of four babies. Our first born is a girl, and our middle is a boy, then God completed our family with identical twin girls. Our house is always fun and crazy! I am a Registered Nurse, and currently work from home. I co-founded Homefront in October of 2019 with two other military wives that had the same calling and God just brought us all together at the perfect time.
During this episode we dug in and talked about reintegration, PTSD and just how that can look and feel as the military spouse. It’s a perspective not often really talked about, as obviously the main concern is making sure the person experiencing PTSD gets the help they need.
We talked about some great ways to communicate, and work together in order to keep you relationship strong as your military member works through the trauma they endured during their time in service. As well as some really amazing resources you can reach out to in order to be able to find help recovering.

Homefront Heroes: We are a ministry for military wives. We want to give military wives Hope on their Homefront and give them the tools to help them thrive in military wife life. We want to show them that this life can be hard, but our ultimate Hope is found in a relationship with the Lord. We have resources through our podcast, social media pages, website, community meetup groups, and we would love to be able to publish books/materials soon! We are currently working on a devotional video series to help equip military wives in every season of military wife life.
