Season 3 Episode 6 Military Kids Grow up So Fast
Welcome to Episode 6 of this year's podcast!! We are so glad to have you here and to see that you are part of our community. This month as April being the month of the Military Child we wanted to end the month with a special episode paying tribute to the amazing people who make up the kids of the military community.
We had a special guest of Chandelle Walker today and we enjoyed such a lively conversation about what it is to be a military child, how that changes from being a baby to growing up and becoming an adult who has been a brat the entire time of their youth.
“As a mother you stand and look strong, because you are proud of your husband. But you also take on this huge responsibility and role for your children” -Chandelle Walker.
It's really important to realize that kids are “resilient and strong” but they have very valid concerns, and emotions and that there is so much importance in validating them and accepting them where they are. Not alway just telling them they are so strong. Especially when they grow into young adults being able to discuss as a family those feelings will only help to strengthen your connection. Like they say “Compassion Creates Understanding”.
