An original soundtrack for FBi Radio program 'Ears Have Ears' by Astor. Astor is the solo project of Melbourne-born, London-based experimental musician Mark Harwood. Harwood’s long-form compositions combine field recordings, electronics, processed sounds and musique concrete into intriguing collages which leapfrog the cliches imbedded within experimental music and coerce a sound world which is fun, whatever that means.
To date he has released two acclaimed full lengths on Kye. His third LP Lina In Nida is due out on Harwood’s own Penultimate Press imprint later on this year.
Astor’s soundtrack for Ears Have Ears, 'Catastrophe' gathers various recordings made on Harwood’s phone in London and Stockholm throughout Summer 2015. It sounds different to any of his previous releases. Mastered by Giuseppe Ielasi 29.9.2015.
