An exclusive soundtrack created by Ross Manning for FBi Radio program Ears Have Ears.
Ross Manning (pictured) is an audio-visual artist from Brisbane, Queensland. His installations explore light and movement, focusing on spectrum and frequency in patterns that often go unrecognised.
He has created music in groups 4 Layers of Nine, Sky Needle and Faber Castell. Manning recently released 'Interlacing', his debut LP on Room40 and it quickly became a favourite of ours! The record features an exciting mix of broken instruments, custom electronics, electro-magnetic recordings and handmade fan driven instruments and wooden boards of nails. You can expect to hear some of these sounds on his original soundtrack for Ears Have Ears. 'Song for Eugene' - a thankyou letter for a good bloke who donated a bunch of incredible old gear to Manning.
